What PLACE will do
Enable
Lead the development and implementation of a national workforce strategy for place-based change, supporting the needs of communities.
Learn & share
Bring together, translate, disseminate, and generate evidence, knowledge, and other resources to amplify and accelerate place-based practice and policymaking.
Collaborate
Enable and convene expertise and experience to identify possible solutions to shared challenges and incubate concepts through partnerships and wrap-around support.
Strengthen data
Provide a range of practical supports to place-based approaches to improve data, monitoring and evaluation.
Community-led governance
PLACE’s governance structure has been designed to ensure community leadership and accountability that goes beyond input or participation through advisory groups.
We will establish a Community Council that will shape how PLACE operates, its priorities and recommendations for board appointments. This recognises the importance of collaboration and shared decision-making among diverse stakeholders.
EOI - Process and outcomes evaluation
Partnerships for Local Action and Community Empowerment (PLACE) is seeking Expressions of Interest (EOI) from qualified and innovative providers to undertake a comprehensive process and outcomes evaluation of our operations and their impact.
The evaluation aims to assess PLACE's effectiveness, viability, and ongoing relevance over its first five years of operation.
The deadline for initial EOIs is 17 January 2025. A full tender process will follow.
